The Morningside Arena in Leicester will welcome snooker’s top stars next year when it stages the Shoot Out world ranking event.

Tickets will be on sale from this Friday, May 28th, at 10am, with all details at www.wst.tv/tickets
There is a HALF PRICE OPENING OFFER for early bookings for the first two days of the event, so fans are urged to book fast while availability lasts!
WST has led the sporting world in the post-lockdown return of live audiences and will continue to work closely with the UK Government on Covid-19 regulation. Fans can be assured that all necessary precautions will be taken at events to minimise the risk of virus transmission, keeping safety as our highest priority.
The Morningside Arena staged snooker’s Championship League event last year behind closed doors and proved an outstanding venue to host the sport’s top stars. WST also plans to stage qualifying events at the same venue in the coming season, with more details to follow.
The Shoot Out was first staged in 2011 and has quickly become one of the most keenly-anticipated events on the global calendar as it guarantees drama and excitement through the four days of action.
All matches are played over a maximum of ten minutes in a single frame, with a shot clock of 15 seconds for the first five minutes and ten seconds for the last five. Only the fastest-thinking players have a chance!
Ryan Day won the title last season, beating World Champion Mark Selby in the final. Other top stars in the field included John Higgins, Mark Williams, Mark Allen, Shaun Murphy, Jack Lisowski, legends Jimmy White and Ken Doherty plus female players Reanne Evans and Rebecca Kenna
A strong field is once again expected in 2022, to battle for the trophy at the tournament which receives extensive live television coverage on Eurosport.
A WST spokesman said: “We are delighted to be heading to the Morningside Arena for the first time in the coming season. Leicester has always been a hot-bed of support for snooker and the city can currently boast the World Champion Mark Selby as well as tour players Tom Ford, Ben Woollaston, Louis Heathcote and Joe O’Connor.
“We have no doubt that tickets will sell quickly and fans are strongly urged to book fast. The thrill of watching snooker live cannot be matched in any other sport and all of the players are excited to have the chance to play in front of crowds again next season.
“The Shoot Out is a unique and fabulous event which always generates incredible moments and plenty of interaction between the players and fans. Don’t miss this chance to join the fun!”
